Description: The garden at Pound House is a mix of cottage garden style herbaceous borders, a woodland area, walkways and lawned areas. There are lots of mature shrubs and trees including rhododendrons, ornamental cherry trees and acers, and a mass of colour from established perennials such as delphiniums, hydrangeas, salvias and roses, interplanted with bulbs and annuals. There is a greenhouse full of heritage tomatoes and multiple vegetable beds created using different recycled materials. No chemicals are used in the garden and bedding and waste from a flock of chickens help to make at least 15 tonnes of compost a year!
