We are delighted to have received a kind donation of ten Samsung tablets from Holmesdale Lodge 874 Freemasons in Tunbridge Wells. These have been donated to Hospice in the Weald so that patients on the Ward can keep in touch with their loved ones.
During these difficult times, more than ever, we recognise the importance of having heart-to-heart conversations with the people who matter to us. As Kate, Head of Fundraising at the Hospice, says: “The tablets are going to be a really wonderful addition to the ward, and will make a huge difference to the patients and their families for many years to come, particularly in these challenging times when only one family member is permitted to visit our patients.”
Holmesdale Lodge 874 are long-time supporters of Hospice in the Weald, having made their first donation as long ago as 1993. Since that time, they have continuously fundraised and provided amazing support, for which we will be eternally grateful. Their Charity Steward, Duncan Annells, spoke to us recently, saying: The Masonic Centre in Tunbridge Wells has several lodges and all its members are proud to support the Hospice in the Weald in its outstanding work.”
