We would like to congratulate our very own Dr Helen McGee, Dr Bruno Capone & Jo Lavender for completing the Hever Triathlon this weekend. The team, comprising of Helen, Medical Director, Bruno, Hospice Doctor, and Jo, Finance Director, made short work of the challenge by taking on one stage each in a relay event to fundraise for the Hospice.
With the weather now on the turn and heading towards autumn it was rather cold over the weekend, but this did not put them off!
The first stage was the Swim which Bruno completed in the rather chilly water through Hever lake. The baton was then handed over to Jo for the 40km cycle section around High Weald, Chiddingstone Causeway, Bough Beech and back to Hever taking in the lovely local views. Helen then completed the final leg, the 10K run – at the start she was glad to get running to warm up from the autumn weather!
The team have raised over £550 in sponsorship, a fantastic achievement.
Helen, Bruno & Jo would like to thank those that have sponsored them for their amazing generosity.
Congratulations to the Great Trio and we look forward to seeing you next year.
