We are excited to share that our second ever Hospice in the Weald for Children shop is now open, offering Tunbridge Wells locals another environmentally friendly and affordable shopping experience.
Located on Grosvenor Road with two floors filled with unique products and bargains, the new pop-up shop will raise important money for the Hospice while also offering shoppers of all ages even more opportunity to find pre-loved goodies and show their support.
After cutting the ribbon and welcoming people through the doors at the launch of the shop, Sharon, Head of Retail said: “It’s brilliant to open our second children’s service shop, following the success of our first that we opened in Battle in November last year.
“This is a great new location, it’s a pop-up shop based over two floors, selling everything that you’d ever want to buy!”
Suzanne, one of the first shoppers to enter on launch day, was particularly thrilled at the wide range of items available.
“I’m very impressed, there’s lots of menswear! I can never find things for my teenagers, so I’m so very happy I came in to have a browse. Such reasonable prices… and I’ve noticed a lot of name brands as well, really good,” she said.
“It’s lovely to see an empty shop being used, especially for a charity that we should all support,” she continued.
The shop rapidly caught the attention of other passers-by, who were pleased to see a new charity shop in the heart of Tunbridge Wells and appreciated the fair prices.
“I didn’t realise this was here, but it’s nice to have another new shop,” said Stewart, a local shopper.
“Obviously, everything is well priced, especially in this day and age where everything is so expensive. It’s great to have another shop opening in Tunbridge Wells,” he continued.
The positive atmosphere and enthusiasm was clear to see on day one of the shop being open to the public and Dan, Retail Operations and Sales Manager, was grateful to see the support of the local community.
“It’s been a great day, it’s really nice to open another shop, especially since it is dedicated to our children’s service,” explained Dan.
“The day has gone really well, we had a lot of people come in and show interest already which is so good to see so early on.”
