Hospice in the Weald’s Christmas Market took place, with over 1,000 supporters visiting the Hospice to kickstart their Christmas shopping over the weekend.
With over 45 stalls with many local suppliers selling perfect Christmas gifts, the Hospice building was transformed into a bustling festive Market. Supporters attended wreath and bauble-making workshops, took part in the Raffle with a chance to win a festive Christmas Hamper, or visited Santa’s Grotto and left with a gift. Others enjoyed soup or a hot dog with family and friends, and on Saturday, children enjoyed story time with Princesses and glitter face-painting. Knitted stockings made by Hospice supporters were sold as perfect festive treats.
The Hospice Christmas cards were also available for sale, as were Christmas decorations made by Sarah, a patient staying on the Ward. These handmade wreaths, baubles and more were crafted by Sarah and her family, and sold to raise funds for the Hospice. You can read Sarah’s story here.
