Organ Donation

Unfortunately, people with cancer and other terminal illnesses often can’t donate their organs after they die because of their disease. However, corneal donation may well be a possibility and allow people to leave a gift of sight to others. Corneas can be collected up to 24 hours after someone has died and won’t delay funeral arrangements. If this is something you would like to consider, please speak with a healthcare professional for more information. It is also helpful to share your wish to donate your corneas with family and friends. Donating your body to science for research or training may also be a possibility, so again speak with your healthcare professional for more information.
