Enjoy a Saturday evening like no other at Moonlight Walk – now featuring a brand new route – and make a shining difference this June.
Dust off that face glitter, dig out your tutus and activate those glow sticks… It’s time to shine like the stars through the streets of Sevenoaks whilst remembering those special to you. Then, celebrate with a cold drink at the finish line!
Our Moonlight Walk is more than a walk; it’s a journey of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Thanks to the support of the wonderful Freddie Green and Family Charitable Foundation, every pound raised for Moonlight Walk 2025 will be doubled!
That means if you raise ยฃ50, weโll receive ยฃ100 to put towards vital care for people in our community.
โจ Add some sparkle: Don’t forget the glitter! Bring your tutus, glow sticks, and all things sparkly. This is your chance to shine as bright as the stars whilst remembering your loved ones in style.
๐ Under the moonlight: There’s something truly magical about walking beneath the stars. As the moon casts its gentle glow, we’ll come together in a beautiful sight of love and shared memories.
๐ฆ A torch – you will be walking in the dark so please bring a torch to light up the night
๐ฑ A fully charged mobile phone
๐ Comfortable walking shoes
๐ง A bottle of water
๐ Some snacks
โ A poncho or umbrella in case it rains
๐ท A photo or memento of your loved one so they can join us in celebration
Everyone is welcome! All participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
We ask all Moonlight Walkers over the age of 13 to raise sponsorship for their walk but we would love for younger participants to get involved too with the help of friends and family.
We rely on your sponsorship for the success of Moonlight Walk; this year we are aiming to raise over ยฃ80,000 to support patients and their loved ones.
Our fundraising team are here every step of the way to give you easy tips and tricks to reach your fundraising target. When you sign up to Moonlight Walk, an Enthuse fundraising page will automatically be set up for you. Your Enthuse Fundraising page is your online sponsorship platform, that you can personalise, share with friends and family for donations, and keep all up to date with your practice routes and training. You will receive the link via email.
Walkers that raise over a certain amount will be eligible for an exclusive Moonlight Walk gift!
Of course! We welcome all well behaved dogs at Moonlight Walk; your furry friend is more than welcome to join in.
We just ask that you please keep your dog on the lead throughout the whole walk, especially in Knole Park around the deer.
The safety of all Moonlight Walk participants is very important to us. All routes will have marshals with phones or radios directing you and answering any questions.
Medical professionals will be walking with participants on all routes and the Raynet radio team will be strategically placed around the route for quick communication.
We’d expect the routes to take approximately:
๐ย 4 miles: 1-2 hours
๐ย 8 miles: 3-4 hours
๐ย 13 miles: 4- 5 hours
We have allocated 5 hours maximum for Moonlight Walk so please make sure you have returned to The Vine by 12:00am at the latest so you can enjoy a glass of fizz and a sit down.
Unfortunately not. All 3 routes will take you through Knole Park, where there is limited access to paths. Some areas of the route are cobbled which would not be suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
The following businesses will be opening their doors to our walkers, allowing you to use their toilet facilities:
Miller & Carter – TN13 2EN
The Kings Head – TN13 2QA
Halfway House – TN13 2JD
Bull Finch – TN13 2DR
We need over 100 volunteers to make Moonlight Walk possible, without their support, we simply can't go ahead with the event. If you're able to volunteer, please fill in the enquiry form below, we'd love to have you a part of the team.
Volunteers are essential to the success of our events, they ensure our participants remain safe and importantly encourage them as they take on their challenge.
The main role of our volunteers are as route guides. You will be given a high vis, a route guide buddy and will be fully briefed ahead of the event with full instructions on where to stand and what direction to send the walkers.
