merry poppins entertainer story telling

We are delighted to have children’s entertainer Merry Poppins joining us.

With a background in performing arts and working with children, Merry Poppins brings a special touch to every event. Whether she’s ‘poppin’ into preschools, nurseries, care homes, or events like this one, she knows how to create magical moments that everyone will remember.

Don’t miss the chance to join her in our interactive carol service and sing-along with festive songs!

We will also be joined by Austeja Paulauskiene, a local young soloist who enjoys singing and playing the piano and has always loved entertaining people through music. She has performed at many festivals and began singing at the age of 3. Austeja loves to bring people joy through the magic of her voice and she can’t wait to perform at our Children’s Christmas Celebration.

We are also very excited to have 3 local choirs performing!

  • Long Mead Community Primary School
  • The Hillview Community Choir
  • Brenchley & Matfield CofE Primary School
Long Mead Primary School will be singing ‘Santa Clause is coming to town’. Lorna Nicholls their Music Lead said:

“Our choir are proud to be supporting Hospice in the Weald through the gift of music especially in such a beautiful setting and hope that this very important fundraising event brings joy to everyone as well as providing support to such a worthy cause.”

The Hillview Community Choir will be sharing their rendition of ‘Walking in the Air’. Liz Masin leader for music said:

“The Hillview Community Choir is a true reflection of the Hillview School for Girls community being made up of staff and students. We share in the joy of singing together and the sense of connectedness and well-being that it brings and are delighted to be sharing  our love and enthusiasm for singing with the wider community.”
