This Christmas, you can help make a heartfelt difference by supporting Hospice in the Weald’s Christmas Appeal. Your donation will enable families in our community to spend precious, meaningful moments together, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
For people facing a terminal illness, every moment is a gift. Your generosity ensures those who need the Hospice receive the care and comfort they need this festive season, with those closest to them right by their side.
By contributing to this appeal, you are helping to fulfill Christmas wishes that go beyond presents. You’re giving the gift of peace and a chance for cherished time with loved ones. Your kindness can transform difficult moments into lasting memories; a gift that will be treasured forever.
For many, Christmas wishes are about more than gifts. They’re about the hope for moments of love and connection with those who matter most. Whether it’s the chance to be together, to enjoy simple pleasures like music and food, or simply to share one last joyful memory.
Being told her cancer had returned and was inoperable was a big shock to Marion. However, with the support of husband Ian, children David and Anna, and five grandchildren, she enjoyed life, making memories and looking forward to a family Christmas.
Here Marion, of Horsmonden, spoke with us before she died, explaining why supporting the Hospice helps families, like hers, enjoy the magic of Christmas.
We know that writing a letter to Father Christmas is one way children traditionally express their Christmas wishes. The Hospice will have a red post box by this year’s Grotto at the Christmas Market in November, just for these letters…
Visitors will have the chance to write and post their letter to father Christmas in return of a donation. So, giving a gift really can mean a whole lot this winter, and bring about plenty of fun and excitement, too!
