Saturday 17th to Monday 26th May.

Thanks to the support of the National Trust, you can experience the stunning display of over 300 butterflies at Scotney Castle. Each steel butterfly that glistens in the sunlight is a tribute to cherished memories. Set against the backdrop of the castle itself, these graceful sculptures offer a place of reflection and remembrance – where everyone is welcome, whether you have dedicated a butterfly or not.

The butterfly is a powerful symbol of remembrance, transformation and enduring love. just as a butterfly’s journey is one of change and renewal, so too is our journey of grief and remembrance. Each delicate wingbeat reminds us that the people we love are never truly gone – they remain with us in our hearts, in our memories and in the beauty of the world around us.
